Many individuals struggle with facial erythema, the unusual flushing or redness of the face that is found in the disorder known as rosacea. Recently, our own Dr. Emil Tanghetti joined with other prominent dermatological investigators to assess the effects of combining oxymetazoline and four different lasers on this condition. The study combined oxymetazoline hydrochloride cream and laser therapies like intense pulsed light (IPL). The study suggested that this combination approach can indeed be more effective than a single treatment modality.
