Botox and Other Toxins – Xeomin and Dysport
Botox is the most common physician-administered treatment in our office. It is particularly useful for frown lines, crows feet and troublesome dynamic wrinkles.* We also use this product to treat excessive sweating also referred to as hyperhidrosis.*
The short procedure results in small areas of swelling lasting 20-30 minutes with relaxation of the muscles treated, typically lasting 4-6 months.* The discomfort associated with this procedure is minimal since Dr. Tanghetti is an accomplished injector. Our center is also an educational resource for teaching other healthcare providers proper injection techniques and safety precautions. It is important that our staff be aware of other medical problems especially neurological or muscle diseases. It is also best not to use this product if you are breast feeding or planning to become pregnant.
We generally recommend reinjections when the products effects are gone which is usually a 4-6 month interval.* Our office also has experience and access to other toxins which include Dysport and Xeomin.
