Insurance plans are changing every year. Please be aware of the type of plan and coverage that you have. Often there is a great deal of confusion around insurance coverage and requirements. Some require a referral, authorization to a specialist and sometimes that only covers the office visit and further authorization or pre-certification is required for procedures. Authorization and pre-certification can be as simple as a phone call and others as complicated as submitting documentation and waiting for written approval.

Our staff is experienced and well-trained in obtaining pre-certification and authorization. Please keep in mind that this process is time-consuming. We recommend that the patients call the insurance company to speed up the process.

Our office accepts Medicare and most PPO plans including but not limited to, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, HealthNet and United Health Care. We are also providers for certain medical groups including Hill Physician Medical Group. Our contracts with Dignity Health and UC Davis Medical Group are limited to only those patients with Psoriasis or in need of medically indicated laser surgery.

To allow for a smooth billing process, we verify each patient’s insurance prior to their appointment to ensure that the eligibility and benefit coverage is current. We collect all co-payments, deductibles and co-insurance per your insurance policy at the time of service. Please see our forms page for paperwork you may complete prior to your appointment.
